Summary:

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager – Front End-Receiving, the Cash Office Outfitter is responsible for various bookkeeping functions in support of overall store operations, such as reconciling cash registers and related accounts, counting register drawers, and preparing various monthly reports and daily bank deposits.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile cash registers using daily register totals to ensure accuracy in preparation for deposit

• Balance house accounts, discounts, gift certificates and sales tax

• Prepare cash register bags for daily operation

• Conduct physical counts of all registers on a daily basis

• Prepare bank deposits, reconciling sales and vault totals, making adjustment entries as necessary

• Place order for monies needed to operate the retail store

• Place orders for supplies needed to run the Cash Office, such as deposit bags and slips

• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate

Qualifications:

• Solid clerical knowledge or 1 year of accounting experience is preferred

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and SAP Inventory system is an asset

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customers’ expectations

• Passion for the outdoor lifestyle
