Your Role at KIK

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, and monitors hazardous waste removal vendors. Interacting with a variety of departments, conducts training in emergency response and hazardous material handling. Monitors environmental compliance and maintains liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies. Alerts leadership team with corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide technical guidance concerning site HESS issues – site subject matter expert.

  • Establishment and maintenance of site HESS objectives and targets.

  • Represents HESS on site Leadership Team

  • Development and execution of tactical and strategic plans to improve HESS performance.

  • Manage the HESS training program, including new hire, job-specific, contractor and required refresher training.

  • Manage the site HESS Committee.

  • Manage site HESS communications.

  • Manage site incident and injury reporting, investigation, and recordkeeping.

  • Assist in the management of worker’s compensation claims and the site KIK Return to Work program.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of environmental, health and safety compliance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • HS or GED required; bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of federal, state/provincial and local HESS regulations is required.

  • Experience in industrial wastewater treatment systems is a plus.

  • Experience in industrial/potable water systems is a plus.

  • Experience in the chemicals or consumer products industry is a plus.

  • Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plans (RMP) or E2 requirements is a plus.

  • Experience supervising employees is a plus.

  • Self-driver focusing on continuous improvement.

  • Ability to collaborate, work beyond obstacles and build trust with impacted departments.

  • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize workload based on impact and facility goals.

  • Ability to drive change by taking projects from proposal to implementation.

  • Ability to effectively supervise, coach and mentor others.

  • On-the-job required travel time: Under 25%

  • Availability: 24/7
