This role will be part of the People Analytics team within the Global Talent Organization (GTO) at LinkedIn. Our team’s mission is to enable agility through better, faster talent decisions. We are searching for a People Analytics Manager to join our Operational Workforce Planning team —this role will be within our Workforce Strategy & Analytics team, focused on helping LinkedIn track, monitor and act on our headcount trends to enable the achievement of our business goals via our workforce plans. The ideal candidate will have strengths in technical analysis, system-thinking and process design, as well as understand how to drive action and partner across functions and teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end Operational Workforce Planning (OWP) in partnership with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Talent Acquisition (TA) teams, including aligning inputs (i.e., attrition, headcount plans), model methodology and monitoring reporting & cadence to drive the outcome of business-needed headcount

  • Monitor progress towards plans, including deep dives into drivers of headcount achievement

  • Partner and navigate working cross-collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups simultaneously to act where needed to ensure we stay on track for workforce needs

  • Demonstrate executive level consultative presence

  • Evolve operational workforce planning, including building granularity & sophistication in processes and forecasting

  • Partner across People Analytics, including our People Data & Technology team as well as other Strategy & Scale peers to build scalable, trusted data solutions, including reports and dashboards, to solve Operational Workforce Planning (OWP) needs

  • Proactively call out issues (roadblocks) and opportunities that may impact projects at hand

  • Respond quickly to business needs; facilitate impact-driven discussions with GTO leadership and executives

  • Serve as an expert problem solver and partner in structured thinking to broader People Analytics team; help develop this skill with more junior team members

  • Provide technical guidance/best practices and mentorship to other team members

  • Drive collaboration within the team and proactively identify opportunities to partner and learn from other teams to drive improvements

  • Prioritize work to ensure you are working on the right thing at the right time

*Basic Qualifications:    *

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of work experience in a role that involves reporting or converting data into actionable insights for business decision making 

  • 5+ years of experience in Excel and PowerPoint

  • 2+ years of experience with SQL

  • Experience working in Workforce Planning or Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Experience working with and understanding of HRIS and Financial Planning systems

  • Genuine passion for the people domain, either through work, extra-curricular, or thought leadership

  • Proactive and resourceful: Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations

  • Highly analytical: Experience decomposing and solving real world business problems, ideally building/using advanced analytical models

  • Concise communication: Able to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership

  • Enthusiastic, team-first attitude: Motivated to work hard in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $107,000 - $178,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
