The Opportunity

This position works out of our Santa Clara, CA location in the Abbott Vascular Division. Our medical devices help more than 10,000 people have healthier hearts, improve quality of life for thousands of people living with chronic pain and movement disorders, and liberate more than 500,000 people with diabetes from routine fingersticks. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.

Our location in Santa Clara, CA currently has an opportunity for a Demand Planning Manager.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our team as a Product Demand Planning Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the demand planning

process for our product portfolio, ensuring accurate forecasting to meet customer demand and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement demand planning strategies to accurately forecast product demand across various channels and markets.

  • Collaborate closely with the cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to gather relevant data and insights for demand forecasting.

  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify patterns and forecast future demand for products.

  • Work closely with Product Lifecycle Management team to understand product lifecycle and introduce new products and support end of life of products.

  • Collaborate with Supply Planning to optimize inventory, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.

  • Generate reports and metrics to track demand planning performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous process optimization.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to anticipate changes in demand patterns and adjust forecasting strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field.

  • APICS or IBF certification preferred.

  • APO-DP systems experience a plus.

Experience/Background

  • 5+ years of prior experience in demand planning, forecasting, S&OP, preferably in a medical device or health care industry.

  • Working knowledge of world-class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, and business savvy.

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with attention to detail.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and excel working with large quantities of data.

  • Storytelling skills, and experience presenting to executive management.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel.

  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and work with cross functional partners in multiple areas of the business.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,500.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
