After this period, the job will be released to all job seekers. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for routine servicing and preventative maintenance of assigned equipment. Maintenance of transfer stations, compactor sites and waste containers. May assist in chip sealing operations, mowing of right-of-ways, Vector and weed management operations; maintenance and assistance in shop, welding, tire center, buildings and grounds. Normal work hours are Wednesday to Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. BENEFITS: Retirement, Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life Insurance. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or G.E.D; 2 years experience operating road equipment. CERTIFICATION/TRAINING: Applicant must have a valid NM Class A CDL license with current medical card. ABILITIES/SKILLS: Able to perform duties with minimal supervision. Must be able to interact with the public and employees in a pleasant and professional manner. SPECIAL NOTE: Chaves County is a drug free employer.
