Job Summary and Qualifications

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Document patient information and perform other non-clinical duties to support procedure completion.

  2. Greet and identify correct patient and provide a brief explanation of requested procedure to ensure patient care and patients’ right to know.

  3. Perform all aspects of radiopharmaceutical preparation for scintigraphic, bioassay, and therapeutic procedures and disposes of radioactive trash according to department policy and Nuclear Regulatory Commission standards.

  4. Perform imaging and therapeutic procedures according to requirements.

  5. Perform non-clinical activities pertinent to equipment maintenance and NRC regulations for Quality Control and radiation monitoring.

  6. Maintain appropriate supplies and a clean, organized work environment.

  7. Participate in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of Nuclear Medicine.

  8. Perform other duties as required.

  9. Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.

  10. Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.

Qualifications:

· Able to communicate on a professional level with patients, nurses, physicians and other ancillary staff.

· Must be able to provide quality results for diagnostic testing.

· Provides a sensitive and supportive environment for patients and family members.

· Graduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.

· CNMT or ARRT registry eligible.

· Experience in Nuclear Medicine (may include experience in formal NM formal training program)

· Prefer three years experience in nuclear medicine department.

· Required to be registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Or Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist

  • Vocational School Graduate

  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
