Aerotek CNC Programmer in Reno, Nevada

Description:

We are currently looking for a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team. The right candidate will possess the skills to set up, program, and operate our CNC machining centers to fabricate high precision quality component parts used in the manufacturing department.

Job Duties:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations according to specifications of finished workpieces, sequences of operation, and setup requirements

  • Study blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances

  • Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts required.

  • Program and prove out all parts using CAM software and digital inputs at machine controller

  • Create set up sheets and SOP’s for continued quality and repeatability

  • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control according to guidelines and procedures

  • Performs routine maintenance tasks on machines as required

  • Work with engineers, production personnel, programmers and others to resolve machining or assembly problems

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment, to like new appearance, according to maintenance plans and established procedures

  • Maintain positive work atmosphere

  • Ensure safety requirements are followed to the most rigorous standards

Requirements:

· Must have 3-5 years of machining experience operating and programing various types of CNC machining equipment including mills and lathes.

· Must have demonstrated history and experience programming machining equipment using CAM platforms.

· Willingness and ability to use CAM software

· Must be able to read blue prints, tolerances, manuals

· Must be willing to spend time on other shifts aside from the one assigned to you

· Must be willing to teach and mentor others, and be willing to learn new skills yourself
