Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a construction company. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions within the construction industry. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely payments to vendors and accurate invoicing to clients, contributing to the overall financial health and efficiency of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming invoices from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Verify accuracy of invoices, including matching invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.

• Prepare and process payments via checks, ACH, or electronic payment platforms.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

• Maintain organized filing system for all accounts payable documents and records.

• Generate client invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.

• Communicate with clients regarding payment status and resolve any billing inquiries or disputes.

• Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports for management review.

• Assist in the collection process for overdue accounts.

• Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records in accounting software.

Requirements

• Experience using accounting software

• Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
