Honeywell Lead Project Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

Be the leader of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance for multiple parallel projects, working closely with Project Engineers from other groups and the Program Managers. You will partner with the technical resource managers, assist with staffing, and be the primary focal for program cost, schedule, and technical issue coordination and escalation. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project planning, status, execution, and escalation

  • Work as a single point of accountability within the ET (Electronic Test) Org for the assigned projects

  • Coordinate and drive all aspects of assigned engineering work scope

  • Drive clear communications between Technical leaders

  • Optimize the team through procedural improvements and automations

  • Driving test solution quotation estimate efforts and approvals

  • Executing the project on/ahead of schedule and within budget

  • Facilitating various teams to solutions and agreement

  • Drive and improve project engineering practices for Hardware & Software groups

  • Process champion: project-specific operating systems and larger reuse and multi-project considerations

  • Mentoring junior engineers

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science discipline or business degree

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experiences related to engineering or program management

  • U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

  • Previous Test domain experience is a plus

  • Technical background/proficiency in Avionics or Aviation is a plus

  • PMP certification is a plus
