Westchester Jewish Community Services CLINICIAN - Per Diem, Mobile Crisis Response Team in Peekskill, New York

Overview:

Join our Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) program as a Per Diem Clinician. The MCRT program operates from Peekskill, NY and supports Project Alliance by delivering mobile crisis intervention services in conjunction with the Peekskill, Buchanan, Cortland, Croton and Yorktown police departments. Compensation is $35/hr. with a bonus on some major holidays! We are seeking a Clinician to work four weekday evenings per week, 5:00pm-10:00pm, with opportunities for holiday shifts and occasional weekends.

  • Receive job specific training and ongoing supervision by Licensed Clinicians will be provided, including hours toward LCSW certification.

    Responsibilities:

    As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate closely with the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health, 988, catchment area Police Departments, delivering services to individuals who are in mental health crisis. This includes de-escalation, assessment and referral to help clients live safely and prevent future crisis.

  • Work a schedule shift as part of a cohesive team, shifts alongside a Peer Specialist.

    Requirements:

    We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Valid New York state LMSW (can work toward clinical hours) or LMHC required.

  • NYS Driver’s License required.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

  • Experience with community-based services a plus.

  • Crisis intervention and response skills are beneficial

  • Work well independently and within a team environment.

  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with community partners.

  • Strong verbal communication and written skills.
