Intermountain Health HR Transformation Consultant in Albany, New York

Job Description:

The HR Workforce Transformation Consultant function is responsible for embedding new technology, redesigning jobs, data analysis, project management, and relationship management across the company.

Consults with Executives and Business Leaders to identify critical workforce capabilities, gaps in future and current workforce, and strategies to address those gaps. Implement innovative automation solutions to streamline HR processes and boost operational efficiency.

The HR Workforce Transformation Consultant plays a pivotal role at Intermountain Health, driving strategic workforce initiatives that enhance capabilities and efficiency through AI technologies, and automation tools, and data. This role demands close collaboration with senior leadership to develop and implement innovative workforce solutions that support the organization's long-term objectives.

Scope

Works directly with senior leaders, leadership teams, and human resources teams to develop system-wide strategies which maximize outcomes and results around clinical and business objectives. Leads teams consisting of the leaders of HR teams and domains within Intermountain and enables collaboration vertically within the channel and horizontally, with leaders and analysts across channels. The incumbent will spend up to 15% of their time traveling between Intermountain Healthcare facilities.

Job Essentials

  1. Leads and facilitates initiatives including, but not limited to, critical role/capability new technology, redesigning jobs, data analysis, project management, and relationship management.

  2. Partners with other team members in the development of the firm's strategic workforce planning methodology, processes, and tools for effective workforce planning.

  3. Successfully creates inter-disciplinary project teams to most effectively deliver enterprise-wide solutions and targeted outcomes.

  4. Provides thought partnership and consultation to executive leaders and HRBP's in development of strategic workforce plans and strategies to address gaps.

  5. Analyzes and presents the results of workforce planning activities to senior leaders in a way that compels action.

  6. Collaborates with other HR, planning, clinical, business, analytics, and system functions to share trends, develop solutions, and execute action plans.

  7. Leverages data and best practices to continuously improve practices across the organization.

  8. Maintains a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, strategies, and business climate, as well as a cross-industry understanding of macroeconomic factors affecting labor markets (e.g., national and local market trends, assessing the implications of trends, identifying opportunities as well as threats).

  9. Maintains a strong understanding of technologies, approaches, and trends in the workforce planning industry.

  10. Proactively identifies work to be done and partners to deliver business value.

  11. Measures outcomes and ROI driven by workforce planning work.

  12. Travels to various facilities within Intermountain Healthcare, as needed, to provide on-site collaboration and partnership with occasional overnight travel.

  13. Implement innovative automation solutions to streamline HR processes and boost operational efficiency.

  14. Act as a key advisor to senior executives, offering insights on AI applications and leveraging generative AI and similar technologies to drive workforce transformation strategies.

  15. Design and manage change initiatives to ensure successful technology adoption and methodological updates across the organization.

  16. Partner with cross-functional teams to align workforce transformation strategies with overarching business objectives.

  17. Evaluate the impact of transformation efforts, ensuring the meet Intermountain's strategic goals and adhere to industry standards.

  • Minimum QualificationsMasters degree in Hospital Administration, Business, Analytics, or a Workforce Planning related field and two years of related experience. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.- or -PhD in Hospital Administration, Business, Analytics, or a Workforce Planning related field

  • Eight years of related experience.- and -Knowledge of intervention methodologies, business operations, and macroeconomic factors of the healthcare industry.- and -Experience facilitating and leading groups through a workforce planning process.- and -Experience successfully planning and managing multiple complex projects at an enterprise level.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience working in healthcare-related environments.Certification in Strategic Workforce Planning.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$58.83 - $92.59
