DESCRIPTION:

As an Operations Manager reporting to the VP of Job Order Contracting you will have the opportunity to:

• Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish.

• Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines

• Manage project budgets, including cost estimation and tracking expenses

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project success

• Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction process

• Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders

• Lead and manage a responsible team of construction professionals

• Develop project specific procedures, documentation, contracts and related systemsCreate and uphold relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Oversee multiple projects, project managers, deadlines and budgets simultaneously

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution is a plus. Advanced degree desired

• 10+ years of relevant operations management experience required

• Experience with Job Order Contracting is required

• Experience working on NYC Metro area construction projects is required

• Experience working with public NYC agencies is desired

• Experience working on multiple projects and with various clients at the same time is required

• Experience working on Unit Price contract or requirements contract projects in NYC public sector

• Candidates must have worked for small local and regional contractors that focus on smaller projects or renovation and/or tenant improvement work

• Extensive construction industry experience working in public sector is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal skills

The salary range for this position is $249,000 to $314,000 depending on experience
