Carnival Cruise Line Brand Experience & Product Development Analyst in Miami, Florida

Job Description

This role provides analytical, planning and process management support to Brand Experience and Product Development projects encompassing new builds, hotel refurbishments and/or port destinations. This includes developing and maintaining tools to support product design concept decision making and ensure that experience design projects are completed on time, on budget and while meeting measurable goals post implementation.

Essential Functions:

  • Create and manage processes, planning and reference documents such as responsibility assignment matrices (RACI – Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed), timelines, budgets, approvals, and commitment tracking - Ensure that there is a clear understanding of who is doing what across stakeholders from various departments that are participating in product development including clear expectations of accountability, responsibility and deadlines for all workstreams. – Build and maintain shared workspaces and team sites to foster efficient collaboration – Follow up with stakeholders as needed to identify and alleviate bottlenecks.

  • Compile data, define metrics, develop models and provide recommendations to support decision-making and master planning on several business aspects including but not limited to revenue, cost, capacities, area measurements, space ratios, throughput, utilization, key vessel particulars, guest satisfaction and staffing.

  • This work could be done in partnership with several teams across the organization including deployment, operations, marketing & consumer insights, and shipboard operations analytics team.

  • Ad-hoc competitive research and benchmarking as needed to support development of experience design projects – Building and maintaining a library and process for compiling potential ideas, concepts, product and partners that can be referenced to support initiatives as needed.

  • Assembly and maintenance of experience design storybooks and product guides; ensuring the content and assets are regularly updated throughout the development process and as needed post implementation, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed, and revisions are made - Provide support to Brand Experience and Product Development Managers in preparing executive updates

  • Support onboarding and manage business relationships with key partners including brand orientations, facilitating vendor set-up, master services agreements, statements of work, purchase requisitions, invoicing and budget tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in a business or project analysis role. Product development, experience design, hospitality, or theme park operations and/or cruise line experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (advanced in MS Excel and PowerPoint). Proficiency in planning and project management tools such as Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Project or equivalent. Knowledge of analytical and business intelligence programs such as Tableau. General understanding of how to read architectural drawings, material specifications and/or take measurements on architectural drawings using programs like Autocad or PDF based programs such as Bluebeam Revu is a plus.

  • Requires regular use of collaborative and communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint

  • MBA/master’s degree preferred

  • Planning and analysis, project management, industrial engineering experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, verbal, written and presentational skills. Ability to interpret data, formulate business questions and make recommendations.

  • Understanding of the complete ecosystem that makes up a guest experience including the operational requirements needed to support it. Ability to build strong relationships and solicit cooperation from individuals in a variety of roles making up a cross-functional team needed to take a project from vision to reality.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities. May need to stand for long periods of time.

Travel: Less than 25% ship and shore-based travel likely

Work Conditions: Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery. Other job specific working conditions: Attend Drydocks, shipyards and/or project sites

The range for this role’s base salary is $51,600 - $75,300. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
