What to Expect:

Your role will involve leading, developing, and aligning the detailed production scheduling, material requirements planning, logistics, and manufacturing excellence teams to effectively apply best practices, processes, and tools. You will have full accountability to ensure that finished goods are produced and made available according to requested dates and quantities, in the appropriate locations, and at optimized costs. While doing this you will proactively collaborate with production, demand & supply planning, third-party suppliers/service providers, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to visibly impact and guide the Value Chain in defining and delivering business priorities and effectively managing the bottom line.

A day in the life:

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure a strong customer focus while developing and implementing strategies to optimize all supply chain functions: procurement, production planning, labour planning, inventory management, and logistics

  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics e.g. on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost of goods sold, and develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations

  • Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and training to enhance their skills and capabilities.

  • Implement inventory management systems and processes to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs, in coordination with the production manager to ensure accurate and achievable production schedules.

  • Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw, in-process and finished goods.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in all supply chain activities. Regularly review and update standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement

  • Prepare and present supply chain performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and improvement opportunities.

Role Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience at market, business, factory level is required, direct experience working in Operations, Supply Chain and or Inventory functions within Food or Beverage manufacturing industry.

  • Experience in material planning and procurement, inventory control and management, production planning, setting production requirements and managing execution, material movement, and supplier negotiations

  • Knowledge of SAP and MS Office, Power BI in Supply Chain through formal training and experience an asset

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and talent management supervisory/managerial
