Job Description Empire Automotive Group Ford Lincoln Parts Manager

Job Summary:

Here is a great opportunity for an experienced automotive part professional ready to take their career to the next level. In this position, you will utilize your professional experience to profitably operate a franchised domestic parts department, to help assist in managing OEM inventory and to provide parts and accessories to a busy shop as well as to wholesale and retail customers.

Your daily work schedule:

Maintaining an efficient and profitable parts operation using various computer systems and processes with an domestic brand. Using the dealerships DMS, develop systems for the effective stocking of parts. Understand and use of principles of pricing, availability, shipping, return and credit policies. Prepare stock orders and complete paperwork accurately and on time. Return parts appropriately and within manufacturers return policy guidelines. Maintain close control of departmental costs. Oversees the parts sales process from start to finish. Reads and understands the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts Communicates with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner. Converses effectively/efficiently regarding customer parts status Answers phone calls and provides price quotes and other information to customers. Reviews body shop estimates to verify the parts ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate. Provides high level service to both internal and external customers. Manage orders from stock and maintains weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock. Manage a team and ensuring the department is working efficiently with service. Manage out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submits an emergency order, if necessary. Ensures all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order. Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.

Qualities were looking for

High School Diploma. Three years minimum auto dealership parts experience. Reynolds, CDK, and/or Dealertrack dealer management system. Ability to calculate figures/amounts including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, %, area, circumference, and volume. You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Must have an excellent attendance record and a commitment to being on time. You understand the importance of listening and being empathetic while leading. You have strong work-ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. You have friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude. You are open to constructive feedback to improve your performance and development. Flexible with work scheduling and availability to work weekends and holidays. You have strong computer and multitasking skills, which includes Microsoft Office. You will operate a clean, organized, presentable workplace with a strong attention to details. You have shown stability in the job industry, growing in each position you worked. You have a valid and clean NY state drivers license and pass a drug and background check.
