Description

We are seeking a remote Payroll Specialist. This role is crucial to our team, responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with payroll procedures. This is a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Execute payroll processing procedures accurately and timely

• Utilize 'ADP - Financial Services' for payroll processing and other related tasks

• Assist with 401k - RRSP Administration, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately

• Perform various accounting functions related to payroll

• Handle multi-state, high-volume payroll processing

• Support different regions, adjusting rates and compensation as required

• Conduct benefit reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of records

• Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll queries

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Payroll Specialist

• Comprehensive knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in 401k - RRSP Administration

• Strong understanding of various Accounting Functions

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Familiarity with payroll software and databases

• Relevant certification or degree in Finance, Business, or related field is preferred.
