The Parkview Health Pharmacy Enterprise is looking for a pharmacist to remotely work on Informatics projects. This position is within the Pharmacy Department and will report to the Director of Pharmacy, Ambulatory Services. This position does not require Epic Certification(s) nor will be assigned routine Epic maintenance, testing, etc.

This is a great opportunity to be engaged with a growing Pharmacy Enterprise. This position will focus on business analytics, including but not limited to, clinical and financial metrics associated with the Ambulatory and Quality and Patient Care Services lines of business.

Activities

• In collaboration with Pharmacy Services and Information Services, Pharmacy Informatics Specialist participate in the analysis, design, implementation, education, and support of clinical, operational, and financial metrics.

• Understand pharmacy data structures and perform assigned reporting

• Accurately and promptly analyzes the impact of information technology in clinical work processes

• Maintain current knowledge of Pharmacy practices, regulatory standards, organizational policies and procedures related to clinical practice, legal implications of the clinical information system, and organizational direction in order to support users and process teams

• Facilitates ongoing metric reporting for the pharmacy enterprise

• Communicate issues and topics with team members, pharmacy leadership, and IS leadership

• May serve as a pharmacy informatics resource to individuals and teams throughout the enterprise

• May include electronic data collection, cataloguing of gathered information, documentation of processes, and communication with members of IS and pharmacy services

• May participate in interdisciplinary and process improvement teams to identify potential future uses of information and potential improvements in the current use of data

• May participate in Pharmacy Resident research

Position Qualifications: Candidates must possess a pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution and have completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency or have equivalent hospital practice experience. Pharmacy licensure or eligibility in Indiana is required. Candidates must have a high level of technical skills and be able to be highly functioning in an independent environment.
