Eaton Corporation Warehouse Supervisor in Edmonton, Alberta

Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently hiring a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Edmonton, Canada facility and offers benefits from Day 1.

What you’ll do:

The Warehouse Supervisor will report to the Supply Chain Manager/Supervisor and under the overall guidance of the Plant Manager, this position organizes and directs the activities of the employees engaged in shipping, receiving and warehousing processes at the Edmonton plant.

In this function you will:

• Monitor work volumes for the above activities and adjust resources as required to meet operational requirements.

• Monitor and maintain Balance on Hand per corporate requirements.

• Monitor shipping volumes and communicate with carriers to ensure all freight is processed daily.

• Implement & maintain corporate warehouse policies and procedures.

• Responsible for all Lift Truck PM contracts and rack safety inspections for the EPC facility.

• Responsible for safety, scheduling work rotations, vacations, and conducting monthly workplace meetings.

• Responsible for developing or monitoring a variety of departmental metrics.

• Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives as required.

• Support Eaton Business System initiatives as required.

• Responsible to ensure safety practices are adhered to for a safe working environment including safety audits, training and inspections while following standards from all applicable legislation.

• Monitor employee performance and conduct annual performance reviews.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Two-year College Diploma from an accredited institution in Supply chain or logistics or related fields.

• Able to drive forklift

• Two (2) years supervisory experience.

• Five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing, distribution center or supply chain.

• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 80KM of Edmonton to be considered.

• Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred qualifications:

• University education in business or supply chain management from an accredited institution.

• Knowledge of warehouse systems, manufacturing and quality control processes and procedures; Oracle experience a plus.

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.

• Prior supply chain or operations experience within the electrical industry.

Skills:

• Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness & ability to challenge the status quo and create a culture of continuous improvement.

• Strong MS Office skills; PowerPoint, Excel (Advanced), Outlook
