Position Overview: Beverly's Restaurant is seeking a talented and passionate Wine Sommelier to join our team. As a Wine Sommelier, you will play a pivotal role in curating an outstanding wine selection, providing expert recommendations to enhance our guests' dining experiences, and ensuring that every aspect of our wine service exceeds expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Wine Selection and Procurement:

  • Curate and manage an extensive wine list that complements Beverly's culinary offerings and appeals to a diverse range of tastes.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with reputable wine distributors and producers to ensure the availability of high-quality and unique wines.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new releases, and emerging wine regions to continuously enhance the restaurant's wine selection.

  • Wine Service:

  • Provide personalized wine recommendations and guidance to guests, considering their preferences, menu selections, and budget.

  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and presentation of wines to maintain quality and enhance the dining experience.

  • Oversee the wine serving team, providing training and guidance on wine service standards, etiquette, and best practices.

  • Wine Education and Promotion:

  • Conduct wine tastings, seminars, and educational events for staff and guests to deepen their understanding and appreciation of wines.

  • Act as a brand ambassador for Beverly's Restaurant, actively promoting the wine program through social media, marketing initiatives, and collaborations with local wine enthusiasts.

  • Guest Relations:

  • Foster strong relationships with guests by offering exceptional service, anticipating their needs, and creating memorable experiences.

  • Solicit feedback from guests regarding their wine preferences and dining experiences, and use this information to continually improve the wine program.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Sommelier accreditation preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Wine Sommelier in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.

  • Extensive knowledge of wine varietals, regions, vintages, and production techniques.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and effectively with guests and colleagues.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering unparalleled service.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
