Responsibilities
Expectations:
Registration of new patients in the practice management system for outreach or other services not on EMR, billing and coding, including scanning necessary paperwork, some manual data entry of charges.
Process encounters held in the work queue or task lists, organize paper charge tickets for coding staff, and perform charge reconciliation.
Review and process charges in the work queue per assigned edits.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
One to two years billing experience in a health care environment
Knowledge of health insurance plans
Pay Range
$15.00 - $17.82 /hour
