Cimarron Software Services, Inc. Event Coordinator in Chantilly, Virginia

Cimarron is seeking anEvent Coordinatorwith a TS/SCI clearance and a CI or FS Polygraph to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The selected candidate will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of various events, including but not limited to conferences, seminars, and corporate functions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Key Duties:

  • Track registrants and manage the registration process for events.
  • Secure and schedule conference rooms or conference centers, depending on the size and scope of the event.
  • Coordinate presentations, including speaker communication, presentation materials, and AV requirements.
  • Produce event agendas, flyers, and other promotional materials as needed.
  • Coordinate catering for refreshments or meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are accommodated.
  • Manage event logistics, including setup, signage, and on-site coordination.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, sponsors, and attendees to ensure a seamless event experience.
  • Evaluate event success and gather feedback for future improvements.

TRAVEL REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI or FS Polygraph.
  • Proven experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and event management software.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 5 or more years of event planning experience, or Bachelor's degree in Event Management/Hospitality and 2 or more years of related experience.
