Duties/Responsibilities

DESCRIPTIONS OF WORK AVAILABLE:

  1. Community Enrichment $11.00-$12.50 Per Hour

Completes landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, cutting, weed eating, pulling weeds, and maintaining over-grown vegetation (county lots/parcels/parking lots). Removal of debris throughout Butte Silver-Bow Footprint, such as in the main-thoroughfares, alleys, and wherever else is needed. Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including worksite areas (parcels & lots) and equipment. Completes the job in the most time-effective manner meeting B-SB productivity targets. Must be approved as a driver who safely operates county vehicles (trucks, SUVs, cars, etc.), side-by-sides, ATV’s and trailer combinations. Assists Supervisor/Lead with route and job organizations, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available (gas, oil, trimmer line, gloves, safety vests, and glasses). Care for equipment and notifies management of needed repairs. Must be 16 or over.

  1. Park/Trail Aids $11.00-$12.50 Per Hour

Performs unskilled manual work in raking, watering, sprinkling, sweeping, and general cleanup of City-County Parks and trails using weed eaters and small power or hand mowers, ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. Experience preferred. Must be 16 or over.

  1. Archives $11.00-$12.50 Per Hour

Performs basic office and other duties related to the operations of the Archives. Must be 16 or over.

  1. Animal Services Aide $11.00-$12.50 Per Hour

Performs basic duties related to the operations of the City-County animal shelter. Must be 16 or over.

  1. Recreation Aid $11.00-$12.50 Per Hour

Plans, implements, sets up, and leads recreational activities. Must be 16 or over.

  1. Ridge Waters - Pool Aide / Admissions / Concessions $11.00-$12.50 Per Hour

Provides customer service, assists in preparing for the day–to–day operations at Ridge Waters Water Park, responsible for basic accounting of money and inventory, basic knowledge of serving food and beverages desired, responsible for general cleaning of the facility, ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and ability to quickly learn how to operate a point-of-sale system. Must be 14 or over.

  1. Clubhouse Attendant $12.00-$12.50 Per Hour

Must possess basic knowledge of the game of golf, basic working knowledge of food and beverage, basic math skills to accurately count and handle money, ability to follow directions, ability to quickly learn how to operate a point-of-sale system. Must be 18 or over.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL POSITIONS:

  • Performs all duties and work assignments in a safe, healthy, and environmentally sound manner. Specifically, complying with the Health and Safety Program; maintaining work areas in a safe and orderly manner; identifying and reporting unsafe conditions; reporting all accidents; wearing required personal protective equipment, and attending safety-related training sessions.

  • Performs all duties and work assignments in compliance with project quality requirements.

  • Acts responsibly and ethically, and in conformance with generally accepted business, occupational and professional standards.

  • Performs related work as required.

  • Follow all rules and regulations of Butte-Silver Bow.

  • Maintain a positive attitude when dealing with supervisors, other employees, and members of the public at all times.

  • Possession of a valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Montana.

  • Must be a resident of Butte-Silver Bow during employment according to Butte-Silver Bow Ordinance. See below.

"2.08.010Residence during employment.

From and after October 1, 1979, all employees of the local government of Butte-Silver Bow shall be bona fide residents within the boundaries of Butte-Silver Bow during the period of their employment by the government of Butte-Silver Bow.
