Practice Highlights: Saint Alphonsus Corporate Health is a clinically focused noninvasive department within the Direct to Employer Service Line (DTE). The service line contracts directly with employers for Corporate Health and Well-Being, Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Mental Health (EAP).

The Corporate Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) collaborates with department registered nurses, licensed mental health counselors and dietitians to provide independent and advanced care. In consultation with an employee's Primary Care Physician (PCP), the NP/PA primary responsibilities include providing primary care and management of chronic conditions. Secondary responsibilities include representing Corporate Health at Employers facilities, presenting data driven outcomes, developing clinically focused wellness-interventions, and collaborating with other providers in the Direct to Employer service line to deliver exceptional care to contracted lives.

Specific duties and functions include but are not limited to the following: Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for specific age groups (Adolescents over 18, Adults and Geriatric). Seek consultation as needed.Development and implementation of protocols and interventions for evaluation and treatment of high risk medical problems. Manage a High Risk Clinic to provide evidence-based interventions for chronic conditions identified during wellness screenings. Assist patients in establishing care or obtaining follow up care with their primary care physician. Phone consultations with Saint Alphonsus Health System (SASHS) colleagues and Corporate Health employers regarding an employee's high risk medical problem. Providing referrals and treatments as deemed necessary according to their wellness plans. Collaborate with other DTE service line leaders to develop integrated care strategies to grow Corporate Health, Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and Mental Health (EAP). Attend monthly DTE provider meetings. Collaborate, where appropriate, with the SAHS Health Alliance (Clinically Integrated Network, CIN).

Support: SAHS Primary Care Physicians, Occupational Medicine Physicians, Health System resources

Requirements :

  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho & Oregon; Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho & Oregon Board of Pharmacy and DEA

  • Strong medical background and a desire to provide retail based care to an Employers employees. You will obtain an Idaho and Oregon licensure to maintain, strength, and grow the SAHS/DTE program across all communities we serve.
