Job Summary/Basic Function
About This Role:
The coordinator will assist in the development and implementation of new student orientation and welcome weeks during fall and spring semester. community.
What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities
Will work with Scheduling, Reservations and Operations to schedule and provide support to an event.
Will work with orientation student staff members to set-up and assist in orientation, Welcome Weeks, The Big Event, Greek Week.
Manage the preparation and execution of the programming budgets and maintenance of financial records for assigned accounts.
Must work collaboratively with on and off campus agencies, and other departments to achieve objectives.
Assist with implementation of Family Weekend for Saturday football game.
Key Competencies:
Ability to work in a complex organization which provides co-curricular programs and activities that are essential to student community; an understanding of how the student union interacts with student and recreational activities functions as a part of Student Engagement and the University at-large. Demonstrates a broad and clear understanding of student development and the role of student affairs in the educational process. Be willing and able to direct programming activities for students during selected weekends and willing to collaborate with Intercollegiate Athletics on weekend activities to complement home game activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Over three years of secretarial/clerical experience preferably at a college or university. Adept at being a leader and a hands-on contributor. Demonstrates an understanding of college students, their role, and regulations governing them.
