Waste Connections Inside Sales Representative in Barrie, Ontario

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Inside Sales Representative at our Barrie , ON District .

Barrie’s inside Sales Representative will be able to communicate effectively and persuasively to a high volume of people throughout the workday. Interaction between accounts, our outside sales representative, customer service, and other departments will take place on a daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities- includes but are not limited to

  • Support new business opportunities and existing customer new business additions to the District

  • Maintain appropriate files and documentation, in accordance with company policy and internal controls

  • Date entry and complete customer account set up

  • Team up with T.M to conduct follow up calls and solve minor issues to free up T.M for hunting

  • Assist T.M and Sales Manager with ARES through entering incoming account changes and new commercial and broker business

  • Renewals of low revenue and medium revenue accounts for the District

  • Execute and call on all sales campaigns/promotions, new service launch and other sales related initiatives

  • Assist sales department with issues / issues call in’s when necessary/track deliveries to assure time lines are met for new business and exchanges.

  • Identify and resolve current customer problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions.

  • Cultivate client relationships. Effectively determine the decision maker(s) and key personnel to maintain a personal level with all our customers helping to control Districts churn rate

  • Assist with change order forms/updating Trux / changes in Ares when necessary

  • Assist when required with A.R collections and delinquent account follow up

  • Assist in customer calling for missed pickups and route issues – checking daily for issues that need contact with the customer

  • Assist in booking temp business for District when needed

  • Assist overflow of with minor retention or disgruntled customer calls when necessary

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of Waste Connections competitive positioning in the market

  • Analyze account activity and suggest opportunities for service improvements to the customer

Qualifications

  • Telephone sales and customer skills are a key component of the position with successful track record of maintaining existing business, prospecting and closing new business.

  • Excellent phone etiquette and demeanor.

  • Organized and able to work with a fast paced team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Maintain and develop existing business best practices.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment and be prepared to develop and execute strategies

  • Ability to learn and use multiple computer systems simultaneously

  • Motivated by individual and team achievement.
